Mama Baer- Perverted People Girl Fuckers

I've listened to this album countless times and am still at a loss for words when I try to describe. Caterwauling, bizarre, both bombastic and occasionally subdued. Inner monologues of torment and delight, but outer. A solo presentation of volumes of sound poetry presented simultaneously. Confused yet? Me too. But it's so worth it.

Tour-de-force of the aberrant/wayward sound/action strategies employed by Mama Baer, one half of German art actionists Kommissar Hjuler Und Frau: everything you could want from Mama on one disc, weird forlorn unaccompanied nursery rhyme vocals, fucked up squeaky tape work, totally punked songs that come over like Lydia Lunch jamming with X-Ray Specs and the kind of massively deformed solo electric guitar work that would make Rudolph Grey turn it down. Edition of 123 copies in oversize art sleeves recommended!
